In this interesting book, we focus on the biology of sex. Erica Moen and Matthew Nolans aren’t afraid to share their experiences on this topic, and that alone can do wonders for our bodies and health to break down barriers and inhibitions. If there’s one topic that needs their grace and humor, honesty, openness, and inclusion as much as sex education, it’s abortion. That’s it, if you’ve ever seen the Oh Joy sex toy site, or any of Erica Moen and Matthew Nolan’s priceless books and works, you’ll know that they not only turned their creations into art, but their voices as well turned into art. the tone they use.
As someone who is active in sex education and sex positive communities and has followed the work of Erica Moen and Matthew Nolan for years, this still amazes me, but I understand that many will feel like revolutionaries. I enjoyed this book and truly believe that Matthew Nolan and Erica Moen gave it tone, inclusiveness (both in words and art) and the right mix of humor and encouragement. Grab this fun book if you want to develop your early sex education or if you need a book to help someone new.
Even if you don’t have anything you think might need a doctor’s attention, this book is still full of great information about how our body works (and sometimes doesn’t, for some reason). My only real negative and it wasn’t enough to take away my 5 star rating, besides the work by Matt & Erikas, here as well as their website, there is also guest work, in this case comic artists who they have/had a medical condition that they explain, so it’s kind of an extra addition to their own subjects.
